-What is neurofeedback?
Neurofeedback training for the brain is similar to physical training for the body. Many times individuals suffer emotionally due to continual negative thoughts in which our thought process becomes perplexed from a cognitive standpoint. Neurofeedback encourages the brain to draw from its prior resources and as a result mental stability and clarity is acquired.
Clients who participate in consistent neurofeedback sessions report having less anxiety and depression. In addition, problems that once seemed to be unmanageable become easier to deal with and eventually will seem to seamlessly fade away.
-How Does Neurofeedback Work?
Neurofeedback is a brain training program that observes individual brain waves and then gives feedback to the central nervous system about what has just been done. Neurofeedback monitors tremors that occur in the brain wave pattern and sends a signal to the brain that is heard by the client. The neurofeedback process promotes the brain to reset itself.
Neurofeedback sessions take place in a comfortable, quiet atmosphere. Neurofeedback sensors are placed on the client’s ears and head, which sends individual brain wave patterns to the program software. The neurofeedback session lasts approximately 30 minutes. During the session, the client will hear soft, relaxing music that is played through earbuds. There are also relaxing images that are on display on the computer screen, which also encourages relaxation. The client will hear brief skips while the music playing, which is actually the neurofeedback training that encourages the brain to reset itself.
Neurofeedback is non-invasive and it is a safe way to restore healthy habits into your life.
