Jennifer Hoskins-Tomko, LCSWClinical Psychotherapist
I am a Clinical Psychotherapist who is trained in EMDR and TF-CBT. I work with both adults and teens with a variety of struggles. I have a strong background in trauma therapy, grief work, mood disorders, anxiety disorders and I have been a community educator in parenting skills. I enjoy working with motivated people, because I love watching people grow.
Karen Severson
Karen Severson Adult Psychiatrist
I am a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist who is ready to work collaboratively with therapists and clients to get the best results possible. I am responsible for helping you decide if medication is right for you and if so, which medication. I will work closely with you to help them find a match to ease their symptoms of anxiety or depression. It is my job to listen to your feedback and adjust accordingly. I will always give you an honest answer as to whether medications are the best treatment, versus using therapy, but usually a combination works best. I am always using humor with my medical practice , but this doesn’t mean I do not take what i do extremely seriously. I just feel the ability to laugh at oneself is an ability that can be practiced endlessly. I find I am approachable and always willing to think outside of the box,. One size never fits all. I try to combine my knowledge of the body, the mind and spirituality with all my decisions.

For many people making the decision to speak with a therapist is a huge step. Finding a safe and nurturing therapeutic environment is the first step on the road to recovery. I believe a collaborative dialogue helps establish a trusting relationship.

I have extensive experience in the field of substance abuse and how it affects the dynamics of family life. Another area I specialize in is Couples Counseling. Whatever your background, marital status or sexual orientation, counseling allows couples the opportunity to discuss and resolve problems that cause conflict and unhappiness, which often lead to a breakdown in healthy communication. Whether you come alone or with your partner, therapy provides a safe space to talk about sensitive issues. My approach as a clinical therapist is always impartial, accepting and empathic.

Other areas of therapy include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, self-esteem issues and life transitions.

“I was having difficulties with getting out of bed, much less the house. Everything seemed to be happening at once and it felt overwhelming. Just hearing another perspective and new coping skills.”
